Roman walk godmsnchester

From the 1st Century AD- 4th Century AD

(Money raised will be donated to Godmanchester’s Porch Museum)

An afternoon walk around the town to give you some idea of what lies beneath your feet. The Romans left a vast amount of information and although not visible today I can give you some idea of where the Roman buildings were, what they were used for, and what life was like for the Romans and the Iron Age people who were already here before the Romans came. Some surprises are in store!

Meet at St Anne’s school at 2pm the walk takes approximately 2 hours so, bring sun block and water, and a sun hat if sunny.  We end the walk at the Museum where you may have tea or coffee and a biscuit, and you will be able to view the Museum collections.
