E-Cops - Strawberry Fair in Cambridge

June 9th, 2008

Cambridgeshire Police E-Cops

This weekend(7&8th June)sees the annual Cambridge Strawberry Fair. In
previous years around this time there have been illegal Raves throughout
Cambridgeshire. These have had the potential to cause serious nuisance to
local residents. As with previous years, Cambridgeshire police have
resources dedicated to identifying potential problems and dealing with them
at an early stage. In order to assist we are asking that:

* Land owners, farmers and rural residents bear in mind security of gates,
drives and outbuildings over weekend
* Suspicious incidents or activity throughout Cambridgeshire is reported to
the police on 0845 4564564.

It is important to stress that whilst we expect no particular problem at
this stage, with the help of vigilant members of the public we can ensure
that this years Strawberry Fair weekend is the peaceful, enjoyable event
that all expect

If the matter is more urgent or of a general nature then I would urge you to ring 0845 456 4564 and you will then be able to get quicker attention. If an event is in progress or very urgent call 999. If you need to report a crime then please call 0845 456 4564. I would urge residents to report all crimes however trivial so we get a good idea of where the problems are.
